Candler Park is a 9 hole executive course located in the Candler Park, near the Virginia-Highland and Little Five Points neighborhoods in Atlanta, GA. From the longest tees it offers 2,064 yards of golf for a par of 31. The course was designed by Helen Smith and opened in 1927.  Recently naturalization of the creek that splits the course has brought beavers, hawks, raccoon, ducks and herons back and they are often visible while walking the course.

 

Based in Southwest Atlanta at the John A. White Golf Course, The First Tee of Atlanta is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching Atlanta youth life and golf skills in a seamless fashion. The First Tee of Atlanta was founded in 2000 and is a chapter of The First Tee, an international youth program created by the World Golf Foundation in 1997.

Located just four miles from downtown Atlanta, The Charlie Yates Golf Course at East Lake is a 9-hole, Par 30, mid-length course with Bermuda fairways and Bent grass greens.

Designed by famed golf course architect Rees Jones, The Yates Course offers a mix of challenging Par 3′s and 4′s and is located in the heart of the award winning East Lake community.

 

The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department is a department of the local municipal government operated by a permanent, full-time staff with the assistance of a volunteer citizens advisory board. Board appointments are made by the City Council for a term of five years.
